Matthew was born and raised in Jackson County, right down the road from Cookeville. Growing up he spent most of his time on his Nanny and Pa’s farm learning the value of hard work. The strong values and faith in God he learned from his family have truly made him the person he is today.

When Matthew is not at the office, he loves spending time with his family and keeping up with Tennessee Football. He also loves to spend his time outdoors hunting, fishing, and playing golf.

Matthew has been married to his beautiful wife, Kali since 2014. On August 11 2017, they welcomed Knox McGuire into the world. They round out their family with a small dog, Marco.

Matthew is a 2008 graduate of Jackson County High School in Gainesboro, Tn. In 2012, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Tennessee Tech University. After undergraduate studies, Matthew attended Dental School at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He graduated in 2017 with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine Degree in Dentistry.

During the last year in dental school, Matthew, along with John Wesley and some of their friends, founded the Life and Dentistry Podcast where they explore the ins and outs of dentistry as it blends with everyday life. Their episodes have been downloaded all across the country. They host an annual continuing education conference in Lexington, Ky in which they discuss and learn new concepts as it relates to the world of dentistry.

Having a genuine, lifelong friend like John Wesley has been very special to Matthew. Matthew is beyond grateful for the brotherly bond between the two and wouldn’t be where he is today without that. Through all life has to offer, they knew they could count on the other for support. It is that principal they live by- not taking relationships for granted, and adding value to others in order build new ones.

The same can be said about having a role model. Being blessed with the opportunity to work with and learn from a great leader and dentist like Andy, has been an answered prayer in many ways to both Matthew and John Wesley. They all share the same family values and desire to deliver the best care possible to their patients.

In addition to wonderful patients and dentists, there is an awesome, well trained, caring staff that rounds out the team. Quality dentistry and a well run office would not be possible without these amazing ladies.
